How to play
Syntax Rush is a fast-talking, high-energy party game inspired by classic clue-giving rounds. Bring your best descriptions, dodge the forbidden words, and keep the guesses flowing.
Round flow
- 1Choose a team and start the round.
- 2Describe the card without using forbidden words.
- 3Your team guesses correctly, then move to the next card.
- 4Use skips sparingly: only three per round.
- 5When time hits zero, the round ends and the next team prepares.
Objective
Describe the current card so your team guesses it. The faster you flow, the more points you rack up.
Forbidden words
You cannot use the word itself or anything that sounds like it, is derived from it, or is too close. If the card says “Basketball”, you cannot say basket, ball, baseball, football, or anything similar.
Time limit
Each team gets 60 seconds per round. Use the clock to keep the pace high.
Skips
You can skip up to 3 cards per round. After the third skip, no more skipping.
Scoring
Score 1 point for every correct guess. Move on as soon as a card is guessed.
